Workshop COLOUR for the Minor ABC at THUAS
Yesterday I gave a diversity and inclusion workshop: Algorithmic Thinking with Photography. This workshop of the COLOUR project was part of the Minor Artful Business Creations at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. The group was large, 27 students, and doing the workshop was lots of fun. The talk afterwards was done in three smaller groups in which participants came with interesting takes on themes of the workshop.
The workshop kicks off with a sensitiser; “Which labels would you use to describe a human?” After that different rounds of labelling follow.
In the aftertalk we focus on subjects like the bias in AI, the influence of our own bias and identity and the possibilities and threats of AI.
The workshop was a great succes, students found it interesting, confronting, creative and insightful.
